A 15-year-old girl from Faridabad, Haryana, has been reported missing and is thought to have been kidnapped and gang-raped. Reports say that the event happened on Tuesday, October 26, when four males in a car took the child.
The event’s details and timeline
At 7 p.m. on October 26, the victim, who was in eighth grade, left her house in Sector 18 to go to the market. Police said that when she didn’t come back, her frightened family started looking for her right away but couldn’t find her.
The youngster was supposedly held captive for a long time, from the moment she went missing about 7 p.m. on Tuesday until 4 a.m. the next morning, October 27.
The girl’s sister filed a complaint saying that the victim came home at 4:30 a.m. on October 27. She told police that four young men had taken her in a car the night before. The accused is said to have taken her to a remote place, sedated her, and then raped her. After that, the males drove the girl back and dropped her off near her house. They then drove away in their car, according to news agency PTI.
Police investigation and going to court
The police at the old Faridabad police station filed a First Information Report (FIR) on Tuesday against the four unknown young men based on the official complaint.
The people who are being charged are being charged under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, which was just passed, and the strict Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Vishnu Mittar, the Station House Officer (SHO), said that a serious probe is going on right now. He said that the victim is “not fit for statement yet,” but he promised that the police are working hard to solve the case. Authorities are looking at CCTV cameras in and around the Sector 18 market area as a significant aspect of the inquiry to find the car and the people who did it. The SHO said that the suspect would be arrested soon.
