The official teaser for the highly anticipated romantic film, Tere Ishk Mein, has been unveiled, showcasing an intense and emotionally charged narrative starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film is set against the visually poetic backdrop of Benaras and is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 28th in both Hindi and Tamil.
An Intense Tale of Fateful Love
The teaser introduces the central characters, Shankar and Mukti, depicting them as a couple seemingly “not meant to be together.” It immediately sets a dramatic tone by showing a grieving Shankar arriving at Mukti’s wedding straight from his father’s funeral.
In a shocking scene that defines the conflict, an angry Shankar pours Ganga jal on Mukti—who is sitting for her Mehendi ceremony—to “wash away her sins.” He delivers a deeply emotional moment, almost cursing her to have a boy child so she may one day understand the pain of a mother who loses a son to death by love.
Director Aanand L Rai describes the story as a “deeply human” portrayal of love where passion turns painful. The teaser visuals reinforce this intensity, showing Kriti’s character drowning herself in alcohol while Dhanush’s character engages in violent fights with unknown goons.
