Team India Clinches ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Celebrities And Fans Celebrate Victory

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 10 : The nation erupted in joy as Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, lifted the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after defeating New Zealand in a thrilling final. The victory marked India’s third Champions Trophy title, and the celebrations extended beyond the cricket field, as Bollywood celebrities, sports enthusiasts, and public figures took to social media to congratulate the team.

Among the first to congratulate the team was Telugu actor Allu Arjun, who shared his excitement on Instagram Stories, writing, “Heartiest congratulations to our men in blue on winning the #ChampionsTrophy2025.”

Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal also joined in, posting, “UNSTOPPABLE!! The absolute best,” along with an energetic clip of the song ‘Soorma’ from his film URI: The Surgical Strike. Similarly, NTR Jr took to social media to express his admiration, saying, “Congratulations to Team India on a well-deserved and dominant Champions Trophy victory! Going undefeated all the way is no small feat.”

Superstar Mahesh Babu shared his pride, posting, “Overwhelmed with pride! Huge congrats to Team India for clinching the Champions Trophy… true champs! #TeamIndia.” Madhuri Dixit also chimed in with her praise, writing, “An amazing match and a true testament of their skill, dedication, and teamwork! The whole nation is so proud!”

Other celebrities including Bobby Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Alia Bhatt also expressed their joy and congratulated the Indian team for their remarkable performance. Film producer Madhur Bhandarkar, currently in America, watched the match on his mobile and tweeted, “Congratulations to the entire Indian team for winning the Champions Trophy. I am not in India right now but in America, and I watched the entire match on mobile. I felt very good watching it. Everyone played very well.”

India emerged victorious by four wickets in the final against New Zealand, who batted first and posted a total of 251/7, thanks to contributions from Glenn Phillips (34) and Daryl Mitchell (63). Team India’s chase was anchored by openers Rohit Sharma (76 runs) and Shubman Gill (31 runs), with Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, and Hardik Pandya guiding the team to victory.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Team India, sharing on his official social media account, “An exceptional game and an exceptional result! Proud of our cricket team for bringing home the ICC Champions Trophy. They’ve played wonderfully through the tournament. Congratulations to our team for the splendid all-around display.”

This victory solidified India’s position as the top-ranked team in both ODIs and T20Is, with a fourth Champions Trophy title now added to their cricketing accolades.
