Taylor Swift, a pop diva, has given her fans a new way to enjoy her music by starting her own SiriusXM channel called Taylor’s Channel 13. The station started broadcasting on Saturday, September 20, and will end on Sunday, October 19. People in North America can listen on satellite channel 13 or through the SiriusXM app.
The channel’s launch, which is exactly 13 days before her new album comes out, is a tribute to Swift’s lucky number. It will play a combination of her many songs around the clock, including her biggest hits, “From the Vault” tunes, and live recordings.
Information about the new album and exclusive content
The Life of a Showgirl, Swift’s 12th studio album, will come out on Friday, October 3. On August 12, she initially told people the name of the album. Then, on the New Heights podcast hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce, she gave more information. There are 12 tracks on the album, and the title tune is a duet with Sabrina Carpenter.
Starting at 12:00 a.m. EST, Taylor’s Channel 13 will play the whole album every other hour until it is out. The album has already broken records. On August 31, Spotify said that The Life of a Showgirl was the most pre-saved album on its platform.
Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer, says that the channel is a means to honor Swift’s cultural significance and provide fans a place to talk about their love for her. The curated channel gives you a one-of-a-kind listening experience that shows off the range of her career, from her early country songs to her more recent pop and indie-inspired songs.
