Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Provides Health Update On AR Rahman Following Hospitalization

Chennai (Tamil Nadu), March 16: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin shared a positive health update regarding Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman, who was recently hospitalized in Chennai due to dehydration and neck pain.

Stalin took to Twitter to convey the current status of Rahman’s health. Expressing relief, he wrote, “As soon as I heard the news that Isaipuyal @arrahman had been admitted to the hospital due to ill health, I contacted the doctors and inquired about his health! They said he is fine and will be back home soon! Happy!”

According to Rahman’s team, the renowned music composer has been discharged after undergoing necessary tests. His hospitalization was due to medical complications caused by dehydration and neck pain following recent travel. “All tests taken by doctors showed Rahman, 58, to be normal, and he is likely to be discharged today itself,” they confirmed.

The team also dismissed “fake” reports that suggested Rahman had been hospitalized due to “chest pain.” They clarified, “It’s fake news (on heart issues) spreading now. Rahman went to hospital because he got dehydrated and has neck pain due to travel.”

Rahman, who is currently involved in various music projects and gigs, recently joined Ed Sheeran during his Mathematics Tour concert performance in Chennai. He is also set to compose music for the upcoming Dhanush and Kriti Sanon starrer Tere Ishk Mein, a spiritual sequel to the film Raanjhanna, directed by Anand L. Rai.
