Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 10: Filmmaker and author Tahira Kashyap, wife of actor Ayushmann Khurrana, has shared a hopeful update on her health journey, revealing that she is now back home and steadily recovering after her recent breast cancer diagnosis.
A few days after revealing that her cancer had returned nearly seven years after her first battle in 2018, Tahira took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a bright and uplifting photo of herself holding a sunflower. In her caption, she expressed deep gratitude to those who have supported her during this difficult time.
“Basking in all the love and prayers! They are magical. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Back home and recovering,” she wrote. “I know some of you who are praying, and so many whom I don’t know, yet I receive all your goodness with grace. Similarly, some of you know me, and others might not, but I send all my gratitude to all of you. When such a connection is made, which is beyond an actual relationship, it’s called humanity, the highest form of spirituality.”
Earlier on April 7, Tahira had bravely shared her diagnosis and outlook on social media, encouraging others to prioritize regular health screenings. “Round 2 for me… I still got this,” she had written, embracing the journey with resilience and optimism.
She added a signature touch of humor and strength: “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life becomes too generous and throws them at you again, you squeeze them calmly into your favorite kala khatta drink and sip it with all the good intentions.”
Tahira’s openness and courage have inspired many, especially as she continues to document her treatment journey—including moments from chemotherapy and a recent post with a clean-shaven head.
Tahira and Ayushmann Khurrana have been married for over a decade and are parents to two children—a son and a daughter.
