Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 17: Actress Taapsee Pannu and producer Kanika Dhillon announced the completion of the shooting for their upcoming revenge drama, Gandhari. The film, written by Kanika Dhillon and produced under her banner Kathha Pictures, is directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Devashish Makhija, known for his films like Bhonsle, Joram, and Ajji. The release date for the film has not been disclosed yet.
Kanika Dhillon shared the exciting news on social media by posting a series of behind-the-scenes images from the sets of Gandhari. One of the photos featured the lead cast, Taapsee Pannu and Ishwak Singh, posing with the crew and Kanika. She also shared images with the director Devashish Makhija and the cast, while announcing the end of filming with the caption, “It’s a wrap! The final take may be done, but the story is just beginning. Gandhari, coming soon!! See you at the movies.”
Gandhari marks the latest collaboration between Kanika Dhillon and Taapsee Pannu, following their successful projects like Manmarziyaan, Haseen Dillruba, and Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba. The film also stars actor Ishwak Singh, who gained recognition for his role in Paatal Lok.
Filming for Gandhari took place over 50 days across Mumbai and Maharashtra. The film is set to feature Taapsee in a high-octane action role as she portrays a mother on a mission for revenge.
Kanika Dhillon, in a press release, shared her excitement about the project, stating, “Gandhari has been both an enriching and challenging experience for us. Taapsee was last seen in Khel Khel Mein alongside Akshay Kumar. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film featured an ensemble cast including Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal, and Fardeen Khan.
