T20 World Cup 2026: India’s Super 8 Fixtures Confirmed After Zimbabwe Qualifies

India’s Super 8 opponents in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026 have been confirmed after Zimbabwe became the latest team to qualify for the next stage. Zimbabwe sealed their spot following the washout of their match against Ireland in Pallekele on Tuesday, finalising the Super 8 group lineup.

The defending champions have been grouped with South Africa, West Indies and Zimbabwe, setting up a high-stakes phase of the tournament for Suryakumar Yadav’s men.

India’s Super 8 Schedule and Venues

  • February 22 – India vs South Africa at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad
  • February 26 – India vs Zimbabwe in Chennai
  • Early March – India vs West Indies in Kolkata (exact date to be confirmed)

India’s Strong Form Heading Into Super 8

India booked their Super 8 berth after a dominant 61-run win over arch-rivals Pakistan in Colombo on Sunday. They currently sit at the top of Group A with three wins from three matches.

The team will play their final group-stage match against the Netherlands at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, aiming to maintain their unbeaten run.

India’s only previous T20 International meeting with the Netherlands came during the 2022 T20 World Cup in Sydney, which India won comfortably.

Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, India are chasing a fourth straight win after beating USA, Namibia and Pakistan in the group stage.

Netherlands’ Qualification Hopes End

The Netherlands’ campaign has faltered after losses to Pakistan and a heavy defeat to the USA, leaving them with just one win against Namibia. As a result, Scott Edwards’ side are effectively out of contention for a Super 8 spot.
