Suspect In Elvish Yadav Firing Case Arrested After Shootout In Faridabad

GURUGRAM – A man who is suspected of shooting at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s residence in Gurugram was caught on Friday morning following a short gunfight with a crime branch team from the Faridabad Police. The accused, Ishant Gandhi, who is said to be connected to the “Bhau gang,” was wounded in the right leg while trying to get away and is now in the hospital.

Yashpal Yadav, the Public Relations Officer for the Faridabad Police, said that the team got a tip regarding Gandhi’s activities and tried to stop him on his motorcycle. When the cops confronted him, Gandhi is said to have opened fire. He fell off his bike but kept shooting as he sought to get away. The police shot back, hitting him. Authorities found a gun, a motorcycle, and empty ammunition at the scene.

Gandhi is facing a number of criminal charges in Haryana. The police are now looking into his ties to the Bhau gang and the reason for the attack on Yadav’s residence.

On August 17, three masked individuals on a motorcycle shot more than two dozen times at Elvish Yadav’s house in Gurugram’s Sector 56. CCTV cameras caught the attack, but no one was hurt because Yadav wasn’t home at the time. A post on social media, supposedly from the Himanshu Bhau gang, allegedly said they were responsible for the shooting. The group said that the attack was a warning to Elvish Yadav and other social media stars who push betting apps, which they said have “ruined several families.”

Police said that the arrest of Ishant Gandhi is a big step forward in the case. They want to learn more about the scheme and the other suspects involved once he is well enough to be questioned.
