Agartala (Tripura) [India]: Tripura Minister Sushanta Chowdhury has strongly backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unequivocal message to Pakistan following Operation Sindoor, reaffirming that India will not tolerate any form of terrorism. He asserted that the Tripura Government fully supports the Prime Minister’s address, which came days after India launched precision strikes targeting terror hubs.
“The message has been loud and clear from Prime Minister Narendra Modi that India is not going to tolerate any terrorism or escalation whatsoever by Pakistan. The Pahalgam attack, where 26 innocent lives were lost due to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, is a glaring example of why this response was needed,” Chowdhury told media.
“Decisive, Categorical Response”
Referring to India’s military response, Chowdhury said:
“Time and again, India has proved its strength before the world through surgical and precision attacks using cruise and ballistic missiles. Pakistan, having no option left, has now come forward proposing a ceasefire.”
He emphasized that India’s counter-terror approach is no longer one of restraint.
“PM Modi has made it crystal clear—terrorism from across the border will be dealt with an iron hand. Any act of terror sponsored by Pakistan will be taken extremely seriously,” the Tripura minister added.
Operation Sindoor: Three Pillars of India’s New Security Doctrine
In his first address to the nation following Operation Sindoor, PM Modi outlined India’s upgraded national security doctrine:
- Decisive Retaliation
- Every terror attack on India will face a strong, pre-planned counterstrike targeting the roots of terror networks.
- No Tolerance for Nuclear Blackmail
- India will not be cowed by nuclear threats. Terror safe havens protected under this illusion will be eliminated.
- No Distinction Between Terrorists and Their Sponsors
- India will treat both terrorist leaders and the governments sheltering them as one and the same.
Tripura Government Fully Behind Armed Forces
Chowdhury also praised India’s defence personnel:
“We salute the gallant efforts of our soldiers—Indian Air Force, Indian Army, Navy, and paramilitary forces—for upholding peace and protecting our national borders.”
He added that Tripura stands firmly with the Centre in its fight against terrorism.
“Our government supports every word uttered by the honourable Prime Minister. The Indian Armed Forces have sent a message the world cannot ignore.”
