Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], July 23: Celebrations are in full swing for Tamil actor Suriya as he marks his 50th birthday today. On this special occasion, the makers of his highly anticipated upcoming film, ‘Karuppu,’ delighted fans by releasing its powerful teaser.
Dream Warrior Pictures, the official production banner of the movie, unveiled the teaser on their X (formerly Twitter) handle, igniting excitement among movie buffs. The teaser showcases Suriya in high-octane action sequences, masterfully choreographed by the popular stunt master duo Anbariv.
The ‘Karuppu’ teaser introduces Suriya’s character as a versatile individual who not only excels in thrilling street fights but also demonstrates his prowess in legal battles, portraying him as a lawyer in the film. The video promises a complete cinematic experience, packed with grand visuals, adrenaline-pumping action, vibrant dance sequences, peppy songs, and impactful dialogues.
Dream Warrior Pictures shared the teaser with the caption, “On this special day of celebrating @Suriya_offl Sir, we’re thrilled to present the powerful teaser of #Karuppu.”
‘Karuppu’ is written and directed by RJ Balaji. The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast alongside Suriya, including Trisha Krishnan, marking their reunion on screen after two decades, Indrans, Natty (Natty Subramaniam), Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maya Ravi, Supreeth Reddy, and Yogi Babu in prominent roles. The music for the film is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, known for his viral debut single ‘Katchi Sera’. While the release date for ‘Karuppu’ has not yet been officially announced, reports suggest a Diwali 2025 release.
‘Suriya 46’ Also Underway
Meanwhile, Tamil superstar Suriya’s subsequent film, tentatively titled ‘Suriya 46,’ has officially commenced production with a traditional pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. This project is directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Sithara Entertainments.
Sithara Entertainments announced the news on their official X handle, stating, “The most anticipated #Suriya46 has been officially launched with a grand pooja ceremony! @Suriya_offl x #VenkyAtluri unite to create magic on screen! G.V. Prakash Kumar will be composing the music for ‘Suriya 46.’ The film features Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, with veteran actors Raveena Tandon and Radhika Sarathkumar also onboard in key roles, promising another exciting venture for the celebrated actor.
