The emotional milestone was joyfully shared with fans by Jyotika, who posted a touching video and series of photos from the graduation ceremony on Instagram.
In her heartfelt post, Jyotika wrote, “PROUD. May your choices reflect your hopes and not your fears. All the very best, Diya. Amma and Appa’s blessings forever.” The video and images captured precious family moments, including the celebration with teachers and a special tribute to Diya’s longtime caregiver.
Jyotika’s Instagram Stories featured a collection of moments from the event. One read, “Tassel worth the hassle! Proud of you, my girl!” Another showcased Diya with both sets of grandparents, captioned simply, “Proud grandparents.” The family photo of Suriya standing proudly beside Diya radiated joy and pride.
A particularly touching tribute was dedicated to Diya’s teacher, Angie. Jyotika expressed her gratitude with the words, “A good teacher is like a candle – she consumes herself to light the way for others! Thank you, Angie, for illuminating Diya’s path.”
On the professional front, Suriya was last seen in Retro, a romantic action drama directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The film explores the life of Paarivel Kannan, an adopted gangster’s son striving to rewrite his future.
Jyotika, meanwhile, starred in Dabba Cartel, a bold narrative about a group of women running a drug operation disguised as a food delivery service. The film features an ensemble cast including Shabana Azmi, Shalini Pandey, Nimisha Sajayan, and Anjali Anand.
