In a powerful blend of cinematic nostalgia and real-life heroism, the team of Border 2 arrived at the historic desert frontier of Jaisalmer on Friday, January 2, 2026. Lead stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty joined hundreds of BSF jawans and Army personnel to launch the film’s first song, Ghar Kab Aaoge.
The event, held at the Longewala-Tanot sector—the very ground where the 1971 Battle of Longewala was fought—turned into a viral celebration of patriotism.
The Viral Moment: Dancing with the Brave
The highlight of the afternoon was a spontaneous moment of camaraderie. As the music of Ghar Kab Aaoge echoed across the dunes, BSF jawans began dancing and invited the actors to join them.
- The Trio: Sunny Deol (reprising his legendary role as Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri), Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty were seen matching steps with the soldiers, creating a heartwarming scene of unity.
- Ahan’s Tribute: For Ahan Shetty, the launch carried a deep personal legacy. His father, Suniel Shetty, was one of the stars of the original 1997 Border, making Ahan’s participation a “full-circle” moment for the family.
About the Song: ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’
