New Delhi [India], January 15: On the occasion of Army Day, Bollywood actor Sunny Deol paid a heartfelt tribute to the Indian Army’s bravery, sacrifice, and dedication. The ‘Gadar’ star spent the day with jawans, participating in various activities, sharing personal moments, and honoring the nation’s defenders.
Deol took to Instagram to share videos and photos from his visit. In one video, the actor joined the soldiers in chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” Other images showed him interacting with the jawans, posing for photos, and even engaging in arm wrestling with them. In his caption, Deol wrote, “Then, Now, and Forever Saluting the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of our heroes. Happy Indian Army Day! #HindustanZindabad #ArmyDay.”
This tribute comes on the 77th Army Day, a day dedicated to commemorating the valor of those who protect the nation. The celebrations highlighted India’s technological advancements and ongoing commitment to self-reliance. On this occasion, President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other leaders also paid their respects.
On the professional front, Sunny Deol is preparing for the release of his highly anticipated film Border 2. Set for a January 2026 release, the film features a star-studded cast, including Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahaan Shetty. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 will see Deol reprise his iconic role in this action-packed sequel to the 1997 classic, which focused on the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
In addition to Border 2, Deol is set to return to the big screen with Jaat, an action-packed thriller slated for release in April 2025. The teaser, which was released in December 2024, has already generated significant buzz, showcasing intense hand-to-hand combat and thrilling stunts. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, Jaat also stars Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Regina Cassandra.
