Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Fans of Sunny Deol have reason to rejoice—just a week after the high-octane action thriller Jaat hit theatres, the actor has officially announced its sequel, Jaat 2.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday morning, Deol dropped the first poster of the sequel, sending fans into a frenzy. The bold poster promises more grit, action, and intensity in round two.
The creative team behind the original is making a powerful comeback, with Gopichand Malineni returning to the director’s chair. Producers Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Y, and TG Vishwa Prasad are also back, with the sequel once again being produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory.
So far, the only confirmed cast member is Sunny Deol, reprising his lead role. While no additional casting has been announced yet, expectations are sky-high following the first film’s impact.
‘Jaat’ Box Office Success:
Released earlier this month, Jaat opened to strong box office numbers, earning over ₹9.5 crore net on Day 1 in India alone. It starred a stellar supporting cast including Randeep Hooda, Viineet Kumar Singh, Ramya Krishnan, and Jagapathi Babu.
Following the film’s release, Randeep Hooda took to Instagram to share his gratitude for the audience’s response to his character, Ranatunga:
