Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: In a bold and heartfelt statement following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has urged Indian citizens to stand strong and show resilience by choosing Kashmir as their next holiday destination.
Speaking to the media during the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award 2025 ceremony, Shetty emphasized the power of unity and the importance of not succumbing to fear.
“As citizens, we must decide that our next vacation will be in Kashmir and nowhere else. We need to show them that we are not afraid—because truly, we are not,” said Shetty.
The ‘Dhadkan’ actor also revealed that he personally reached out to the authorities, expressing his willingness to visit Kashmir either as a tourist or for professional engagements.
“I called and said that if needed—whether as a tourist or an artist for a shoot—we are ready to go there,” he added.
Stressing national solidarity, Shetty called on fellow citizens to remain united in the face of terror.
“Right now, unity is essential. Those trying to spread fear and hatred must see that we will not be divided. Kashmir was, is, and will always be ours. That is why our army, leaders, and citizens must all stand together,” he concluded.
The appeal comes in the wake of the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam’s Baisaran meadow, where terrorists killed 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, leaving several others injured. In response, the Central government convened an all-party meeting on Thursday to address the security situation and plan a united course of action.
