At the recent premiere of Aryan Khan’s first movie as a director, The Bastards of Bollywood, stand-up comedian Samay Raina made a brave step by wearing a black T-shirt with the words “Say no to cruise” on the front. Fans and the media quickly got the message, and many saw it as a clear and clever reference to Aryan Khan’s high-profile arrest in the 2021 drugs-on-cruise case.

Raina’s choice of clothes rapidly became popular, especially after a picture from the premiere showed him standing next to Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan, and their cousin Arjun Chhiba. Fans called the action a “clever, tongue-in-cheek” nod to the historic case, and the picture got a lot of attention.

Raina was talking about an event that took place in October 2021, when the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) stormed a cruise ship party and arrested Aryan Khan. He had been in jail for more than a month before he was let go on bond. The NCB cleared him in 2022, saying there was no proof that he had narcotics or was part of a plan against him. This was a big change.
The Khan family and other people who were involved got the message. Suhana Khan and Arbaaz Merchant, both of whom were involved in the cruise case, both chuckled at the viral picture on her brother’s post. This showed how funny and self-aware the event was. People are much more interested for Aryan Khan’s movie now that the event has happened. The movie has been getting good reviews.
