As Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) prepare to face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their upcoming IPL 2025 fixture at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday, SRH bowling coach James Franklin made an exciting prediction—fans could soon witness a 300-run total in a T20 match.
SRH’s Record-Breaking Batting Form
SRH have already come close to the milestone, having smashed 286/6 against Rajasthan Royals in their last game, the highest total in IPL history. This was the fourth time SRH breached the 250-run mark in T20s, a record for any team in the format.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Franklin acknowledged the explosive batting displays this season:
“I’d never say never. I think we ran it pretty close the other day ourselves, and I think we’ve seen already in a couple of other games that, you know, 230, 240s being achieved. So, yeah, why not?”

With batting-friendly conditions in Hyderabad and teams regularly posting huge totals, Thursday’s clash between SRH and LSG could witness another run-fest. Pat Cummins’ SRH will look to continue their dominance with the bat, while Rishabh Pant’s LSG will aim to counter with their own firepower.
