Special Ganga Aarti By Women In Prayagraj Marks Preparations For Mahakumbh 2025

A special Ganga Aarti was performed by women at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj on Wednesday, showcasing inclusivity within Sanatana Dharma and serving as a rehearsal for the upcoming Mahakumbh 2025.

Pradeep Pandey, a Prayagraj Teerth Purohit, emphasized the significance of the ritual. “Today, a special Aarti was performed as a rehearsal for the Kumbh Mela. Boys will perform the Triveni Aarti, while girls will perform the Ganga Aarti. This is a step toward showing that there are no limitations in Sanatana Dharma,” he said.

Youth Participation in Ganga Aarti

Anushka Singh, one of the participants, expressed pride in being part of this event. “Today’s Aarti was performed in coordination by boys and girls. During the Mahakumbh, this Aarti will be performed daily, from January 11 to February 28, and everyone is welcome to witness it,” she said.

The ritual highlights the active involvement of youth and women, aiming to inspire inclusivity and devotion among devotees from all walks of life.

Digital Innovations for Pilgrims

In preparation for the grand Mahakumbh 2025, the North Central Railway has introduced innovative measures to enhance the experience of millions of pilgrims. The Prayagraj division has launched a QR code-based ticketing system, enabling seamless ticket booking via the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app.

Railway personnel in green jackets, equipped with QR codes, will assist pilgrims at key locations, reducing crowding and ensuring a hassle-free ticketing process.

This initiative aligns with the vision of Digital India, providing technological solutions to improve the convenience of devotees attending the world’s largest spiritual gathering.

Grand Scale of Mahakumbh 2025

The Mahakumbh, held every 12 years, is scheduled to take place from January 13 to February 26, 2025, in Prayagraj. The event will feature key bathing rituals, including the Shahi Snan (royal baths) on:

  • January 14 (Makar Sankranti)
  • January 29 (Mauni Amavasya)
  • February 3 (Basant Panchami)

With spiritual fervor, technological innovations, and inclusivity at its core, Mahakumbh 2025 promises to be a divine and transformative experience for all attendees.
