Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi, sources said on Tuesday. According to those familiar with the matter, she is doing well and has been kept under observation by a chest physician.
Hospital sources told that the admission is routine in nature. Gandhi has been dealing with a chronic cough and regularly visits the hospital for medical check-ups, particularly during periods of high air pollution in the capital. She was admitted on Monday evening.
Sonia Gandhi turned 79 in December 2025. Doctors are monitoring her condition, and there is no cause for concern at present, sources added.
