Alia Bhatt turned 32 on Saturday, and the celebrations were filled with love and warmth from her family. Among the first to wish her was her mother, Soni Razdan, who shared an adorable poem for her “dearest” daughter on Instagram. Along with a series of pictures featuring Alia, Soni expressed her love for Alia in a heartfelt caption:
“Dearest Alia
A little wish for you…
You perhaps do not know
How you make all our lives glow
Hope you have a smashing year
And live it without any fears
May audacity be your friend
And your triumphs never end
May your troubles melt away
(And not come back another day)
I know my poem’s not that great
But it’s heart’s in the right place
All that I’m trying to convey
Is I love you more than words can say
Happy Birthday birdie. Keep on flying.”
Alia, who has worked alongside her mother in the 2018 spy thriller Raazi, was also wished by her mother-in-law, Neetu Kapoor, who shared a heartfelt post calling Alia a “gorgeous friend” and recalling a special moment they shared.
In addition to the sweet family messages, Alia had initially planned a getaway to Alibaug to celebrate her birthday and Holi. However, she cut the trip short after hearing about the passing of filmmaker Deb Mukherjee, father of her close friend and director Ayan Mukerji. Mukherjee, a veteran of Indian cinema, passed away at the age of 83.
Alia later celebrated her birthday with the media, where she also shared insights into her upcoming film, Love and War. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal. Alia revealed that the cast is currently filming at night to ensure a distraction-free environment for Bhansali’s signature storytelling style.
