Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 12: The much-awaited film Deewaniyat has found its leading lady as actress Sonam Bajwa joins Harshvardhan Rane in the intense love story. After announcing Rane as the male lead, the makers confirmed Bajwa’s role alongside him in the film.
On Wednesday, Bajwa shared an intriguing motion poster on her Instagram, which features a hand holding a red rose. The video includes a voiceover from Bajwa, in which she passionately says, “Tera pyar pyar nahi, teri zid hai. Jisse tu paar kar raha hai, woh har hadd ki hadd hai. Jal jaungi, mit jaungi, par khaati hoon main kasam–tere ishq mein jhuk jaoon, main nahi woh sanam. Tere liye mere dil mein mohabbat nahi, nafrat hai. Tujhe tabah jo kar degi, woh meri deewaniyat hai.”
Expressing her excitement, Bajwa wrote, “So thrilled to bring the fire of love to #Deewaniyat! An intense saga of passion & heartbreak, starring alongside the amazing @harshvardhanrane! Directed by @milapzaveri, produced by @amulvmohan & @anshulmohan under @vikirmotionpictures. Written by @mushtaqshiekh & #MilapZaveri. Rolling soon. Releasing late 2025! The film, announced on Valentine’s Day, will be directed by Milap Zaveri and promises to be a tale of “passion and heartbreak.” The announcement followed the success of Harshvardhan’s re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam.
Deewaniyat is produced by Amul V. Mohan and Anshul Mohan under their production banner Vikir Films. The film will begin shooting later this year, with a theatrical release slated for late 2025.
