Thane (Maharashtra), July 8, 2025: Social media influencer Rajshree More has demanded strict legal action against Rahil Shaikh, the son of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Javed Shaikh, after he allegedly abused, threatened, and harassed her following a road accident in Andheri West, Mumbai.
Rajshree, accompanied by Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) leader Sanjay Nirupam, visited the Amboli Police Station today to seek accountability and justice. She questioned the police’s handling of the case and the leniency shown to the accused, despite clear evidence.

Speaking to the media, Rajshree said, “I am thankful to Sanjay Nirupam for supporting me. Today, I came to ask how someone who misbehaves with a woman in public gets away with just a notice. This is not Marathi vs non-Marathi for me; it’s about humanity.”
Rajshree, a Marathi herself, stated that her fight is against injustice and not based on regional identity. She said, “If they can threaten a Marathi woman like me, imagine what non-Marathi people go through. I will continue to stand for unity and not be silenced.”
Incident Details
Rajshree recounted that the incident occurred while she was driving home from Goregaon. A car hit hers multiple times. The driver, later identified as Rahil Shaikh, was reportedly intoxicated and shirtless, and began abusing her using foul language, referencing his political connections.
She alleged that Rahil said, “Tujhe pata hai main kaun hoon? Main MNS se hoon. Mera baap Javed Shaikh hai.” Despite police presence, he continued to abuse her and even tried to physically assault her, she said.
A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows a shirtless Rahil Shaikh hurling verbal abuse at Rajshree, further intensifying public outrage.
Political Support and Police Action
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam condemned the act and said, “The Marathi language deserves respect, but it should never be used as a tool for political bullying or to threaten others.”
The Mumbai Police confirmed that an FIR has been registered, and Rahil Shaikh was detained on Monday. He was sent for a medical examination, and his vehicle has been seized.
Rajshree Alleges Threats, Intimidation
Rajshree also alleged that a mob of 200 people visited her studio demanding an apology and threatened to vandalize her property. “I have 40–50 employees, most of whom are Marathi. Still, I’m being targeted. I’m under trauma and feel unsafe,” she said, appealing for public support.
She emphasized that she respects Raj Thackeray but opposes the misuse of his name and the divisive rhetoric. “Mumbai belongs to everyone. Maharashtra belongs to everyone. I will not back down,” she stated.
