Panchmahal, Gujarat: A tragic accident at a construction site for the Pavagadh ropeway in Gujarat has resulted in the deaths of six people, according to Panchmahal DSP Harsh Dudhaat. The incident, which occurred on Saturday, happened when a trolley carrying construction material for the new ropeway extension project broke down.
The accident took place at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the famous Shaktipeeth in Pavagadh. Preliminary reports indicate that the cable of the goods trolley snapped, causing it to crash. Among the deceased were two liftmen and two workers, with the identities of two other victims yet to be confirmed.
Following the incident, local police and fire brigade teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. Authorities have initiated a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the breakdown and assess the safety protocols at the construction site.
