Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 16: The highly anticipated folk thriller ‘VVAN’, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, is all set to release in theatres on May 15, 2026, marking the duo’s first on-screen collaboration.
The makers announced the release date via Balaji Telefilms’ official Instagram, unveiling a new poster of the film. The caption read, “The forest has whispered. The force will be unleashed on 15th May 2026! Get ready for the big screen adventure!”
VVAN is described as a gripping blend of ancient legends, hidden temples, and raw adventure, set against the backdrop of the dense forests of Central India. Shot in actual forest locations, the film promises an atmospheric and immersive cinematic experience.
Helmed by directors Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, the film is produced by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures, in collaboration with The Viral Fever (TVF).
Earlier, a first-look teaser offered fans a glimpse into the mysterious, folklore-inspired world of VVAN, starring Malhotra and Bhatia in intense, intriguing avatars.
Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra is also gearing up for his upcoming romantic comedy ‘Param Sundari’ opposite Janhvi Kapoor, directed by Tushar Jalota. Described as a clash of cultures—“North ka munda meets South ki Sundari”—the film is scheduled to release on July 25, 2025.
