The Shri Panch Dashnam Avahan Akhada made its official entry into Prayagraj on Sunday, marking its arrival for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela 2025.
The procession of seers and saints, including Mahants and Malamandleshwars, was warmly received with flower garlands by the Kumbh Mela administration at various locations across the city.
The Maha Kumbh 2025, scheduled from January 10 to February 24, will showcase India’s vibrant cultural diversity. According to a press release on December 21, the Uttar Pradesh Culture Department is finalizing arrangements to highlight the country’s rich folk arts throughout the 45-day event.
- Cultural Festivities:
- 20 Small Stages: The Culture Department will set up 20 stages at key locations in Prayagraj to host folk dance performances representing various Indian states.
- Special Stage in Nagvasuki: A dedicated cultural stage will feature spiritually enriching Ramlilas for Kalpvasis and devotees, adding a unique spiritual essence to the event.
- Enhanced Accommodation for Pilgrims:
The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a 300-bed deluxe dormitory project to accommodate pilgrims and tourists during the Maha Kumbh.- Facilities:
- 50 tents divided into three categories:
- 20 tents with 4 beds each.
- 10 tents with 6 beds each.
- 20 tents with 8 beds each.
- Tent sizes range from 250 to 400 square feet.

The dormitory will adhere to the same premium standards as the villas and super deluxe tents already established by the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) in Arail.

The tent cities and deluxe dormitory will cater to the needs of international tourists, VIPs, and general pilgrims, ensuring a comfortable and memorable experience for all visitors.
