Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 9 : The shooting for The India Story, starring Shreyas Talpade and Kajal Aggarwal, has officially begun. The film went on floors in Mumbai on Thursday morning, according to the film’s team.
Directed by Chetan DK and produced by MIG Production and Studios, The India Story is set to release on August 15. The film explores the dark and controversial world surrounding major scandals in the pesticide industry. The team shared behind-the-scenes images from the sets to mark the start of filming and express their excitement for the project, though further details have yet to be disclosed.
Meanwhile, Shreyas Talpade is also preparing for the release of Emergency, where he portrays the role of late politician Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The film, set to release on January 17, focuses on the Emergency imposed by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi from 1975 to 1977, and its aftermath. Emergency also stars Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher, and the late Satish Kaushik.
In recent interactions with ANI, Kangana and Kher spoke about their collaboration on the film. Kangana expressed her deep admiration for Anupam Kher, calling him the “hero” of the movie and stating that she would not have made Emergency if he had declined the role.
Kher, in turn, praised Kangana for her efforts, calling her “one of the finest filmmakers.” He mentioned that his portrayal of Jayaprakash Narayan was made easier due to the research conducted by Kangana, and he commended her for handling the challenges of both directing and acting in the film.
