Following widespread media reports claiming that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had raided the residence of actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra, Shetty’s lawyer issued a statement strongly refuting the claims. The lawyer clarified that Shilpa Shetty has no involvement in any alleged offences.
In the statement, advocate Prashant Patil described the reports as “misleading” and urged the public not to believe the rumors. “There have been media reports suggesting that my client, Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra, has been raided by the Enforcement Directorate. These reports are false and misleading. As per my instructions, no raid has taken place on Mrs. Shetty’s residence, and she has no connection to any offence,” the statement read.
Patil further explained that the ongoing investigation concerns her husband Raj Kundra, who is cooperating with the authorities to uncover the truth.
Additionally, the lawyer requested that media outlets refrain from using Shilpa Shetty’s images, videos, or name in connection with the case. “I urge both electronic and print media to avoid using Mrs. Shetty’s pictures, videos, or name in relation to this matter, as she is not involved in any way. Any irresponsible journalism involving her will be met with strict legal action,” the statement concluded.
