Former Indian cricket team batter Shikhar Dhawan has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Sophie Shine in a private wedding ceremony held in Delhi NCR on Saturday. The couple had been dating for several years before officially confirming their relationship in 2025.
Dhawan’s former India teammate Yuzvendra Chahal shared pictures from the wedding celebrations on social media, giving fans a glimpse of the private ceremony. The former opener had earlier shared photos from his sangeet night with Sophie on Thursday, captioning the post, “Sangeet night. Almost the Dhawans.”
The couple was first publicly spotted together during the Champions Trophy 2025 match in Dubai, sparking speculation about their relationship. Dhawan later made their relationship official on social media, announcing their engagement in January this year.
“From shared smiles to shared dreams. Grateful for the love, the blessings, and every good wish for our engagement as we choose togetherness forever,” Dhawan had written in his engagement post.

Sophie Shine is an Ireland-born professional with a strong academic and corporate background. She reportedly worked as a product consultant and holds a degree in Marketing and Management from the Limerick Institute of Technology.
She completed her education in Ireland, including her schooling at Castleroy College, and currently serves as Second Vice President at Northern Trust Corporation in Abu Dhabi.
In addition, Sophie heads the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Da One Sports. Unlike many celebrity partners in the cricketing world, Sophie has maintained a profile rooted in corporate leadership rather than entertainment or social media influencing.
