Supaul (Bihar) [India], June 7: On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, BJP national spokesperson and former Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain offered namaz in his hometown Supaul, Bihar, praying for the prosperity of Bihar and the nation.
Speaking to ANI, Hussain extended Eid greetings and highlighted the significance of the festival. “Eid al-Adha is a festival of sacrifice. Everyone should celebrate it together. I pray that the entire nation unites and progresses,” he said.
He shared that, as in previous years, he offered namaz at Supaul’s Idgah maidan. “I always make it a point to be here on Eid al-Adha. This year too, I prayed for unity and the wellbeing of all,” he added.
In a message on social media platform X, he wrote, “Like every year, this year too, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, I offered namaz in my home district Supaul. I prayed that everyone’s life should be prosperous and Bihar and the entire country should prosper. Happy Eid.”
Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi also offered Eid prayers at Imamia Hall, Shia Jama Masjid, and extended wishes to the nation. Emphasizing social harmony, Naqvi urged citizens to follow government guidelines and preserve the spirit of unity.
“Everyone should respect government guidelines and ensure that the thread of harmony and brotherhood does not weaken anywhere,” Naqvi said.
While speaking to reporters, Naqvi also commented on Operation Sindoor, which recently marked its one-month milestone. He sharply criticized Pakistan, referring to it as a “territory of terrorism,” and said, “Pakistan must eliminate the executioners of oppression and crime, who are not only a threat to humanity but also to Islam. The country will never accept those who act as stooges of Pakistan.”
