Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Darr’ Re-Releasing This Friday

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to revisit one of his most memorable negative roles as his iconic film ‘Darr’ re-releases in theatres this Friday.

Production banner Yash Raj Films (YRF) announced the re-release on Instagram, urging fans to experience this iconic tale on the big screen once again. They shared, “Experience this iconic tale on the big screen again! #Darr re-releasing in cinemas tomorrow. Book your tickets now! (Link in bio)”

SRK, in the film, played the role of a murderous stalker, Rahul, who becomes obsessively infatuated with his classmate Kiran (played by Juhi Chawla). The film depicts Rahul’s relentless obsession with Kiran, resulting in a disturbing cycle of distress, heartbreak, and conflict that ultimately leads to his demise.

Memorable Moments from ‘Darr’

It’s been over three decades, yet Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic line, “I Love You K.K.K… Kiran!” remains etched in the hearts of fans. In Netflix’s docu-series ‘The Romantics’, SRK shared how he perfected the stammering dialogue that became one of his career-defining moments.

He revealed, “I had a classmate who had a stammer. We studied a BBC documentary where they explained how minds become hyper-aware of a specific sound, almost like a sharp current. So, I stammered only on the word ‘Kiran’ because he was so deeply aware of her.

SRK also reminisced about his creative brainstorming with director Adi and Yash Chopra during the film’s making, sharing, “I once suggested doing a phone call scene hanging upside down, but Adi said, ‘Dad won’t allow that.’ It was a collaborative process where we helped each other get the best out of the scenes.

Directed by the legendary Yash Chopra, ‘Darr’ remains an unforgettable cinematic experience, capturing SRK in his first major antagonist role.
