Amit Shah Calls Operation Sindoor A Testament To PM Modi’s Will, Lauds New Intelligence Centre

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday hailed Operation Sindoor as a reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decisive leadership, the sharp coordination of India’s intelligence agencies, and the striking power of the Indian armed forces.

In a post on X, Shah stated:

Operation Sindoor is a unique symbol of the strong political will of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, accurate information of intelligence agencies and the infallible striking power of our three armies. The countrymen are proud of their three armies, the Border Security Force and security agencies.”

Operation Sindoor was launched following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which left 26 people dead. In response, India carried out precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) on May 7, killing over 100 terrorists.

The counter-offensive included IAF airstrikes on Pakistan’s air bases, command centres, and military infrastructure, marking a significant escalation in India’s counter-terror response. This follows previous Indian military operations such as the 2016 surgical strikes and 2019 Balakot airstrikes.

Inauguration of Upgraded MAC in Delhi

Amit Shah also inaugurated the new Multi-Agency Centre (MAC) in Delhi, designed to unify and enhance coordination among India’s intelligence, security, law enforcement, and investigative bodies.

Shah later chaired a high-level meeting with the heads of these agencies. He commended the rapid technological transformation of MAC and emphasized that it is now equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) tools, and Geographic Information System (GIS) services for real-time data analysis and threat response.

“This upgraded MAC will offer a seamless, integrated platform to address today’s complex and interconnected national security challenges,” Shah said.

The MAC, operational since 2001, serves as India’s premier intelligence fusion hub, and under Shah’s guidance, has now undergone a major digital overhaul aimed at predictive and preventive intelligence capabilities.
