Amit Shah Attends Maha Shivratri Celebrations At Isha Centre In Coimbatore

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) [India]: Union Home Minister Amit Shah participated in the Maha Shivratri celebrations at Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, alongside Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.

During the religious ceremony, Amit Shah offered prayers to ‘Dhyanling’, a sacred energy form at the Isha Centre.

Sadhguru’s Special Offerings & New Meditation App

As part of the night-long festivities, Sadhguru will offer the midnight Mahamantra initiation (Om Namah Shivaya), a chant believed to bring ultimate well-being.

In addition, Sadhguru will unveil a free meditation app, Miracle of the Mind, featuring a 7-minute guided meditation to help individuals establish a simple yet effective daily meditation practice.

Music and Cultural Performances

The 12-hour celebration, running from 6 PM on February 26 to 6 AM on February 27, will feature captivating performances by renowned artists, including:

  • Ajay-Atul
  • Muktidan Gadhvi
  • Paraox
  • CassMae
  • Sounds of Isha
  • Isha Samskriti
  • Various multi-regional artists

These performances will keep audiences engaged throughout the spiritually significant night.

Significance of Maha Shivratri

Maha Shivratri, also called the Great Night of Shiva, is considered an auspicious occasion for spiritual growth, symbolizing the victory over darkness and ignorance. It also marks the divine marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, who represents fertility, love, and power (Shakti).
