Sex Toys, Obscene CDs, And Fake Photos: Delhi Police Expose Self-Styled Godman Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati

The crisis surrounding self-proclaimed godman Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, whose true name is Parthasarathy from Odisha, has gotten worse with new, troubling information. While looking inside his Vasant Kunj ashram, the Delhi Police found a sex toy and several CDs that they think had pornographic images on them. Officials said the things show that the 62-year-old has “compulsive sexual behavior.”

Fake Pictures and Fake Credentials

Three altered photos of Chaitanyananda standing with famous people like former US President Barack Obama, UK MPs, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were among the things that were taken. Investigators think that he utilized these fake pictures to impress and control his fans.

Police also uncovered bogus business cards that called him a “permanent ambassador to the UN Economic and Social Council” and a “special envoy to the BRICS grouping.” These cards made his false claims of being important around the world more stronger.

Sleazy Chats Show a Disturbing Pattern

media has already reported on a series of sexually explicit messages that the self-proclaimed godman allegedly sent to his students. He called a young woman “sweetie baby daughter doll” and “baby” over and over again throughout the day.

He asked a student something shocking in one conversation:

“You won’t sleep with me?”

Another troubling piece of information is that he may have been involved in sex trafficking. He is said to have told a woman in a discussion that a “Dubai Sheikh” was looking for a sex partner and pushed her to recommend a classmate or junior when she said no.

Allegations of long-term abuse

At least 17 women say that Chaitanyananda sexually assaulted them. In August, several accused him of sexual harassment, and then he went into hiding. He avoided the police for almost two months before being captured last Sunday at a hotel in Agra.

Investigators said he booked into the hotel on September 27 and stayed in his room to avoid being seen.

What Comes Next

The Delhi Police are looking into the confiscated CDs and his talks to find out how much he was involved in sexual exploitation and trafficking. As the investigation goes on, officials say that other victims may come forward.

This instance is just one of several in India that has caused controversy across the country because of the abuse of authority, manipulation of followers, and false claims made by godmen.
