Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 23: Buzz continues to build around Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated action film King, where he will star alongside his daughter Suhana Khan. Though an official cast announcement is still awaited, veteran actor Saurabh Shukla has hinted at his involvement in the project.

On Friday, Shukla took to his Instagram Stories to share a photo of a welcome hamper that featured a white mug emblazoned with the word “King.” Along with the picture, he wrote, “With @iamsrk after years & the little princess for the first time. #Actinglife,” expressing his enthusiasm for working with Shah Rukh again and collaborating with Suhana for the first time.
Fans quickly reacted with excitement and good wishes, flooding the post with supportive comments.
While Shukla—who previously shared screen space with SRK in Baadshah—did not divulge details about his role, his inclusion adds to the growing anticipation surrounding the film.
King was initially set to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, but the project is now helmed by Siddharth Anand, who directed SRK’s blockbuster Pathaan. The film recently went on floors in Mumbai.
Earlier this year, Shah Rukh Khan teased the project during an event in Dubai, saying, “I’m not just shooting it here, I’m shooting it in Mumbai now when I go back in a couple of months. My director, who is Sidharth Anand, is very strict. He said, ‘Don’t tell people about the film, what you are doing in it.’ So I can’t tell you but I can assure you it will entertain you, you will have fun.”
Adding to the excitement, reports suggest that actor Abhishek Bachchan is also playing a significant role in the film.
With a promising cast and the father-daughter duo of SRK and Suhana, King is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases in Indian cinema.
