Sarah Snook Reveals How Taylor Swift’s Workout Routine Inspired Her Broadway Prep

Washington [US]: ‘Succession’ star Sarah Snook, currently performing in The Picture of Dorian Gray on Broadway, revealed that Taylor Swift‘s fitness routine played a key role in helping her prepare for the physically demanding role.

In this innovative production, Snook portrays all 26 characters, including the iconic title role of Dorian Gray, who trades his soul for eternal youth.

To stay fit and maintain her energy, Snook shared that she adopted a routine inspired by Swift’s Eras Tour workout regimen.

“No alcohol, no caffeine. Sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep. And I do my lines at pace on a treadmill, you know,” Snook explained.

Recalling Swift’s method, Snook added, “I heard that and thought, ‘That’s a genius idea.’ I’m gonna do that.”

Last year, Swift revealed that she spent six months preparing for her Eras Tour by singing her full setlist while running on a treadmill — running fast for upbeat songs and slowing down for calmer tracks — to build stamina for her demanding three-hour shows.

Snook, who recently won an Olivier Award for her performance in Dorian Gray during its run in London’s West End, took on the Broadway role when her daughter was just six months old.

Reflecting on the timing, Snook admitted, “My husband has said, if either of us had seen the show, he would have convinced me not to do it. He’s already got a kid. He knew how hard it was going to be. Ignorance is bliss. You go, ‘Oh, this will be fine.'”

Snook welcomed her first child with husband Dave Lawson in May 2023, sharing the news with a heartwarming Instagram post that showed her and her newborn watching the finale of her HBO series ‘Succession’.
