The Indian Premier League (IPL) social media team shared the update on Thursday, exciting fans with the announcement.

The 18th edition of IPL began on March 22, featuring a grand opening match between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The opening ceremony was a star-studded affair, with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) adding his signature charm to the event.
SRK set the stage ablaze, delivering an emotional tribute to the league:
“As today the IPL turns 18, it comes away not as a league but as a movement, a celebration of sports, a festival of passion, a battleground where heroes are made. We are in the city of joy, Kolkata.”
