Sara Ali Khan Reflects On Her Journey With Kedarnath On Its Sixth Anniversary

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: As Sara Ali Khan celebrates six years in the film industry, she took a moment to express her gratitude for her debut film Kedarnath, which will always hold a special place in her heart. The movie was not only her first foray into acting but also shot in the picturesque and spiritually significant location of Kedarnath.

On Saturday, Sara marked this milestone by sharing a heartfelt video on Instagram, reflecting on how much Kedarnath has influenced her journey. She expressed that the place played a pivotal role in shaping her, and she feels indebted to it for everything she has achieved.

The video features clips from Sara’s visit to Kedarnath, with a voiceover in which she shared her emotions: “The first time that I went to Kedarnath, I was not an actor. The first time I went to Kedarnath, I don’t even know if I was me. Everything I am has come from that place, everything I am. So much gratitude. Aur bas bulawa aata rahe aur mai jaati rahun (I hope I keep getting called and keep going).”

Alongside the video, Sara penned a note of thanks on Instagram: “6 years of Kedarnath… Sometimes it feels like just yesterday and sometimes it feels like a lifetime away… Jai Bholenath. Thank you for making me me. And thank you for giving me a lifetime of memories.”

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Kedarnath was a love story set against the backdrop of the 2013 Uttarakhand floods. Sara starred opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, portraying a wealthy Hindu girl in love with a Muslim pithoo boy (played by Sushant). The movie depicted their journey through adversity, with Sushant carrying Sara on his back through treacherous terrain as part of the film’s narrative.

Looking ahead, Sara has exciting projects lined up. She will be seen sharing the screen with Ayushmann Khurrana in an untitled action-comedy film. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment, this marks their third collaboration. The film will be directed by Aakash Kaushik. Additionally, Sara will star in Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino.
