Mumbai (Maharashtra): Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut launched a sharp critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi following US President Donald Trump’s recent remarks proposing to mediate in the Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan. Raut accused the Modi government of compromising Indian sovereignty and allowing international influence over internal matters.
Raut: “Is Trump Running India?”
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Raut said:
“Modi ji talks about bringing enemies to their knees, but now he will need to ask Donald Trump before speaking to Pakistan about PoK. This is very disrespectful to our sovereignty. It almost looks like Trump is running this country.”
He added that discussions about Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) have been ongoing for 75 years, but Modi has not shown the resolve he claims.
“Where has your patriotism gone?” Raut questioned, referring to the BJP’s nationalist rhetoric.
