Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 11: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not clarifying his role in the recent all-party diplomatic delegations sent abroad following Operation Sindoor. He also raised questions about the India-Pakistan ceasefire and its possible foreign influence.
Speaking to reporters, Raut said, “The Prime Minister keeps doing such events, but he hasn’t clarified his role yet. The country wants to know if the ceasefire with Pakistan happened under pressure from former US President Donald Trump.”
On Tuesday, PM Modi met with members of seven all-party parliamentary delegations that had recently returned from visits to key partner nations. These delegations, comprising MPs from various political parties, diplomats, and officials, were part of India’s diplomatic outreach following Operation Sindoor — a counterterrorism response to the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir that left 26 tourists dead.
Raut also took aim at the government over the Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) issue. “People believed Modi ji would reclaim PoK, that Pakistan would be dealt such a blow it would split into four. We dreamed of reaching Lahore, Karachi — of a united India. Modi ji was supposed to fulfil Veer Savarkar’s vision. But that hasn’t happened yet,” he said.
The Operation Sindoor delegations included prominent Opposition leaders like Supriya Sule (NCP-SCP), Shashi Tharoor (Congress), AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, and several former ambassadors. Together, they visited over 30 countries to present India’s stand on terrorism and its commitment to global peace.
Over 50 individuals, including sitting MPs, former MPs, ex-ambassadors, and senior officials participated in the effort, promoting India’s zero-tolerance stance on terror in the international arena.
