Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 26: Sanjay Dutt is set to return to the big screen with the horror-comedy The Bhootnii, which is slated for release in theatres on April 18. The makers have unveiled a teaser for the film, generating excitement among fans.
Directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, The Bhootnii is an intriguing blend of horror, comedy, and action. The film features Sanjay Dutt in an action-packed role where he battles evil spirits while wielding two swords. Other notable members of the cast include Mouni Roy, Palak Tiwari, Sunny Singh, and Aasif Khan.
In the teaser, Dutt is seen in an intense action avatar, and the film promises a mixture of romance and horror. Sunny Singh’s character is shown pleading with the titular Bhootnii to return his love. The teaser also showcases Dutt reciting lines from the Bhagavad Gita, adding a philosophical layer to the movie. “The soul of a person is immortal, even after the body of an ape,” Dutt’s character states in the video.

Sanjay Dutt Joins ‘Baaghi 4’ Cast
In addition to The Bhootnii, Sanjay Dutt has also joined the star-studded cast of the much-awaited Baaghi 4. The first-look poster for his character has raised the stakes, as he appears in a menacing avatar. Dressed in a bloodstained white shirt, Dutt sits on a gothic-style throne holding a lifeless woman in a blood-soaked gown. His fierce expression and the intense vibe of the poster suggest that his role will add a dark and thrilling element to the film. The poster carries the tagline, “Every Aashiq is a Villain,” hinting at a complex character.
Baaghi 4, directed by Kannada filmmaker A Harsha (making his Bollywood debut), is scheduled for release on September 5, 2025. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the Nadiadwala Grandson banner, the movie is expected to take the franchise to new heights. The Baaghi series, which began in 2016, is known for its high-octane action and intense drama. Previous films in the franchise include Baaghi 2 (2018) and Baaghi 3 (2020), both of which were commercial hits.
