“Sanatana Dharma Needs To Unite”: BJP MP Mukesh Dalal Defends UP CM’s “Batenge To Katenge” Remarks

Surat (Gujarat) [India]: As the controversy erupts over Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s slogan “batenge toh katenge” (divided we perish), BJP MP Mukesh Dalal defended Yogi’s slogan and said that the INDIA bloc has done the work of dividing Sanatana Dharma and it needs to unite.

Speaking to media, MP Dala said, “This slogan (Batenge toh Katenge) is going on across the country. How the INDIA Alliance divided Sanatana Dharma in the last elections. we were seeking votes in the name of development but they divided Sanatana Dharma. Even today, we can see in Maharashtra that members of one community are striking deals with the leaders of INDI Alliance. INDI Alliance is bowing before them and conceding to their demands. So, the matter of Sanatana Dharma comes to light.”

“What does this ‘Batenge toh Katenge’ imply? United we stand, divided we fall…There may not be elections in Gujarat right now but Sanatana Dharma needs to unite,” he added.

Notably, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given the slogan ‘batenge to katenge’ while speaking at a campaign rally in Maharashtra. After that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the slogan ‘ek hai toh safe hai’.

Earlier, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya earlier defended CM Yogi’s remarks as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek hai toh safe hai’ remark, citing concerns over the growing number of Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators in Mumbai.

Speaking to media, Kirit Somaiya said, “PM Modi says ‘Ek hai toh safe hai’, UP CM Yogi Adityanath says ‘Batenge toh katenge’. I have a report from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.”

“According to this report, the way the number of Rohingyas and Bangladeshi infiltrators is increasing in Mumbai, the Hindu population in the city will be reduced to 54 per cent. That is why we (BJP) say ‘Ek hai toh safe hai,” he added.
