UP CM Unveils Ajit Singh’s Statue, Announces ₹350 Crore Development Projects, Lauds Maha Kumbh Participation

Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), February 13:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday attended the Bhagwat Katha discourse of the Shankaracharyas of Sringeri at Gorakhnath Temple, where he spoke about the significance and timeless nature of Sanatan Dharma.

Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi emphasized the simplicity and inclusivity of Sanatan Dharma, stating that it has never imposed its beliefs on anyone but has always provided a path of harmony and progress.

“Sanatan Dharma does not impose its views on anyone. Sanatan Dharma takes the path of life forward with such simplicity and ease. Such simplicity cannot be seen in any other path or sect in the world. There was a time when it seemed that Sanatan Dharma was finished…,” he said.

The Chief Minister reiterated that despite challenges throughout history, Sanatan Dharma has always emerged stronger, guiding people toward righteousness and harmony.


CM Yogi Unveils Ajit Singh’s Statue, Announces ₹350 Crore Development Projects

Earlier in the day, CM Yogi paid tribute to the late RLD chief Chaudhary Ajit Singh by unveiling his statue at Shri Vidhya Mandir Inter College in Baghpat.

He praised Singh as a technocrat and scientist who had the vision to pursue computer science long before its widespread adoption and dedicated his life to the nation’s service and development.

“He was a technocrat, a scientist, and when people had little to no knowledge about computer science, he had a degree in it and was furthering his knowledge of it. He came for the service of the country and dedicated his life to the development of the country,” Yogi Adityanath said.

The Chief Minister also announced development projects worth ₹350 crore for the region, covering key sectors like infrastructure, road connectivity, and education. He emphasized that these projects would significantly enhance the region’s growth and create better opportunities for its people.


Magh Purnima Snan: Over 50 Crore Devotees Participate in Maha Kumbh

CM Yogi also spoke about the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, stating that the Magh Purnima snan (holy dip) concluded successfully on Wednesday.

He praised the mass participation, revealing that over 50 crore devotees have already taken a dip in the sacred Sangam during the event.

With the Maha Kumbh 2025 set to continue until Mahashivratri on February 26, the event is witnessing record-breaking attendance, further solidifying its place as one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
