Mumbai — On the latest episode of Weekend Ka Vaar on Bigg Boss 19, host and superstar Salman Khan delivered a harsh reality check to the contestants, with actor Gaurav Khanna facing his sharpest criticism. Salman openly slammed Khanna for being inactive and “barely visible” in the game, going so far as to compare him to a “piece of furniture.”
Salman, while acknowledging Gaurav as the “blue-eyed boy of Indian television,” bluntly stated that the actor has only been visible for about 20 minutes in the show so far. He questioned Gaurav about his passive behavior, asking if it was his “real character” or if he was intimidated by the other contestants. “You need to speak up on muddas (issues),” Salman told him.
Gaurav’s Defense and Salman’s Response
Gaurav defended himself by explaining that he prefers to stay away from the aggression and shouting that often occur during tasks. To this, Salman countered with a cutting analogy: “Your role in the house is like a star cameo, jo poster mein nazar aata hai, but picture mein nahi dikhte (Someone we see in the poster but not in the film).”
Salman warned Gaurav that his passive approach was not only disappointing his fans but also making the producers look bad. He stressed that a “real Gaurav” should emerge and not be overshadowed by the characters he has played on television. “Don’t lie in the house like furniture that gets easily forgotten,” Salman concluded.
Highest-Paid Contestant Under Scrutiny
Gaurav Khanna’s inactivity is particularly notable given that he is reportedly the highest-paid contestant on this season of the show. According to reports, he is charging a staggering ₹17.5 lakhs a week for his appearance on Bigg Boss 19. He is also said to have been promised a new show with either Star or Colors once his stint on the reality show ends.
Meanwhile, the first double eviction of the season saw social media influencer Nagma Mirajkar and Polish actor Natalia Janoszek exit the house. The remaining contestants, including Ashnoor Kaur, Amaal Mallik, and Awez Darbar, are now vying for the top spot.
