Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 29: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film, ‘Sikandar’. While promoting the movie, Salman addressed various topics, including controversies and fan expectations.
When asked if controversies have become a trend with every film release, Salman made his stance clear:
“Arey nahin chahiye bhai humko koi controversy. Bohot saare controversies se guzar chuke hain hum. Humko nahin chahiye koi controversy,” he said.
He dismissed the notion that controversies help a film’s success, adding, “I don’t think controversies make a film a hit. In fact, sometimes a film’s release is delayed due to controversies—from Friday to the next Tuesday.”
Further, he emphasized, “Abhi bhi hain time bhai. 3-4 din nikal jaane do aur picture release ho jaane do, uske baad bhi koi controversy chahiye nahi.”
What to Expect from ‘Sikandar’
Salman assured fans that the film offers much more than what is seen in the trailer.
“This is just a 3.5-minute trailer. When you see a 2-hour 25-minute film, you will realize that the trailer was nothing. We cannot reveal everything in it. There are a lot of elements in the film that audiences will love… For an action film, emotions are very important,” he shared.
Salim Khan’s Special Appearance at the Trailer Launch
Salman also spoke about his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, attending the ‘Sikandar’ trailer launch.
“The love and respect he has earned is still intact. When I was leaving home, he suddenly said he would join me. Everyone in the family was surprised. He even climbed 8-10 steps to sit behind and observe the press’s reaction.”
Reunion with Director A.R. Murugadoss and Producer Sajid Nadiadwala
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, known for blockbusters like ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Thuppakki’, ‘Sikandar’ marks Salman Khan’s return to a high-octane action film. The movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, reuniting the actor-producer duo after their 2014 hit ‘Kick’.
The film is set to hit the big screens on March 30, 2025.
