Mumbai (Maharashtra), March 23: The much-anticipated trailer of the action-packed film Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, has finally been unveiled. The trailer offers a glimpse into the thrilling world of Salman Khan’s character, Sikandar, in a high-octane mix of romance, stunts, dialogue-heavy scenes, and energetic dance numbers.
Salman Khan shared the trailer on his Instagram, giving fans an exciting preview of his iconic, larger-than-life character. The three-minute trailer introduces Salman as ‘Rajkot ka Raja,’ with Rashmika’s character commenting on his tendency to beat up goons before heading home. She describes him by various names such as Sikandar, Raja Sahab, and Sanjay Sahab. Salman’s portrayal of Sikandar is as intense and raw as expected, with a focus on his action-packed journey. He is assigned to a particular case and lands in Mumbai, where he engages in thrilling combat with the goons. While Salman captivates with his action sequences, Rashmika adds a touch of charm in the romantic moments.
Director A.R. Murugadoss recently addressed the trailer’s delay, explaining the time taken to perfect the CGI and music. “We are working on it. The CGI work is going on. The music is going on. So, we have just now finished the shoot. So, all the departments are busy with the craft. We are working on it. We have to deliver the best,” Murugadoss shared in an interview with ANI.
In addition to the trailer, a teaser was released last month, introducing Salman’s character Sanjay, who is affectionately called Sikandar by his grandmother. In the teaser, Salman delivers powerful one-liners like “Kayde mein raho, fayde mein rahoge” and “Insaaf nahi, hisab karne aaya hun” with his signature swagger, setting the stage for his massy action role.
Sikandar has wrapped up its shooting schedule, with the final phase taking place in Mumbai, featuring Salman, Rashmika, director Murugadoss, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The film was shot over 90 days at multiple locations, including Mumbai and Hyderabad.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who is known for his blockbuster films like Ghajini and Thuppakki, Sikandar is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. This film marks Salman’s reunion with Nadiadwala after their successful collaboration in Kick (2014).
The film is scheduled for release on March 30, 2025, coinciding with festivals like Gudi Padwa and Ugadi, which marks the beginning of the new year in Maharashtra and South India. Fans are eagerly awaiting the film’s release, which promises to be a spectacle for action lovers.
