Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan shared the chilling details of a home invasion earlier this year where he was stabbed multiple times while protecting his younger son, Jehangir Ali Khan (Jeh). The actor opened up about the traumatic event during a segment on the upcoming talk show, Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, which he attended alongside actor Akshay Kumar.
The Brawl and Major Injuries
The incident occurred at the family’s Bandra home when Saif discovered an intruder in Jeh’s bedroom. Recounting the moment, Saif revealed that upon barging into the dark room, he saw a man with a knife standing over Jeh’s bed.
“I jumped on him and we started fighting. And then, he went mad,” Saif explained, describing how the intruder began wildly slashing at him with two knives.
Saif sustained major injuries to his neck, back, and waist. At the hospital, doctors found that a piece of the knife was still lodged in his spine.
Taimur’s Question and Speedy Recovery
During the terrifying brawl, Saif’s older son, Taimur Ali Khan, witnessed the attack. Saif recalled the heartbreaking question Taimur asked: “Oh, my God! Are you going to die?”
Saif reassured his son, responding, “no, I don’t think so. But I’ve got a pain in the back. I’m not going to die, I’m fine.”
Thankfully, the actor made a speedy recovery and promptly returned to work, resuming promotions for his film, Jewel Thief. Fans are now looking forward to his on-screen reunion with Akshay Kumar in Priyadarshan’s upcoming movie, Haiwaan.
