Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was discharged from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday, five days after he was attacked at his Bandra residence. Saif, who suffered stab wounds to his thoracic spine, returned home amid tight police security.
The Incident
The attack occurred last week when an intruder, identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, entered Saif’s residence with the alleged intent of theft. Saif intervened, resulting in a violent confrontation during which he sustained injuries. The intruder was later apprehended in Thane while attempting to flee.
Rickshaw Driver’s Account
The auto-rickshaw driver, Rana, who rushed Saif to the hospital, recounted the chaotic night.
“At around 2-3 a.m., I saw a woman trying to hire a rickshaw. I also heard calls from inside the gate. A man covered in blood came out with 2-4 others. They put him in my auto, and I dropped them at Lilavati Hospital. Later, I realized it was Saif Ali Khan,” Rana told media.
Ronit Roy’s Role
Actor Ronit Roy, owner of the security firm “Ace Security and Protection,” was seen coordinating security arrangements at Saif and Kareena’s residence. His agency, known for working with Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, has been hired to ensure enhanced protection for Saif and his family.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Statement
