New Delhi [India]: France’s leading Defence and Aerospace conglomerate, Safran, inaugurated its new office at Worldmark 2 in Aerocity, New Delhi, marking a major milestone in its ‘Make in India’ roadmap and reinforcing its commitment to the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision.
The inauguration ceremony was officiated by French Ambassador Thierry Mathou and JS Gavankar, CEO and Country Head for Safran India. This strategic expansion strengthens Safran’s long-term partnership with India, enhancing its presence in the Indian aerospace and defence sector.

The new facility will primarily house Safran’s Civil Aviation and Military Support Services teams, allowing the company to enhance collaboration with Indian airlines and military customers. Speaking at the event, French Ambassador Thierry Mathou emphasized:

Safran’s contributions to India’s aerospace ecosystem include manufacturing, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), and R&D facilities. The company continues to drive innovation and self-reliance in aerospace and defence manufacturing, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbharta mission.
