Inauguration Highlights

President Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC. Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath, while JD Vance took the oath as the 50th Vice President. Key Remarks by President Trump

Inflation and Energy Crisis:
Trump reiterated his stance on addressing inflation and energy prices.
“The inflation crisis was caused by massive overspending and escalating energy prices, and that is why today I will also declare a national energy emergency. We will drill, baby, drill,” Trump announced, referencing his commitment to increasing domestic oil production.

Wildfires in Los Angeles:
Referring to recent wildfires in Los Angeles, Trump criticized the administration’s response and vowed to improve disaster management.
“From weeks ago without even a token of defence, they’re raging through the houses and communities… We can’t let this happen,” he said.

Public Health and Education Reform:
Trump also pledged to overhaul the public health and education systems.
“We have a public health system that does not deliver in times of disaster… and an education system that teaches our children to be ashamed of themselves. All of this will change starting today, and it will change very quickly,” Trump emphasized.
